Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

It’s a day for green!

Or at least corned beef and cabbage.

We invited Damo & Lauren over for dinner and I fixed up an extremely large pot of corned beef and cabbage.  I suppose I cheated by going with the pre-brined corned beef from Trader Joe’s, but I didn’t have 10 days to brine my own cut of beef per Alton Brown’s recipe.  And I don’t know that I’d want to spend the time doing it, either.

Whatever.

Dinner was a grand success!  We all ate too much and had too much fun.  Good company, good conversation, good food.  What more can you want from a holiday?

Even Anacreon got into the spirit of things.
